As one of the earliest Galapagos cruise ship companies operating in the area, our Explorer II personnel can teach your family how to make a puppet or one of the many animal shapes found in your cabin, allowing you to go home and impress your friends.  Among other fun activities you can experience on board the vessel are rousing renditions of your favorite songs on the Karaoke machine.  It is equipped with up to 1500 songs in multiple languages.  In our elegant bar area our staff can even teach you a new skill: the fine art of mixing cocktails.

We offer Spanish lessons, whale watching, star-gazing, and numerous theme parties while traveling on the Galapagos cruise ship of choice in the archipelago.  Theme parties can include topics such as a crossing-the-Equator celebration to play-acting a pirate attack, always guaranteed to offer fun and excitement for ‘kids’ of any age.

Seeing the Galapagos Islands on the Explorer II also gives travelers an opportunity to learn about Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution through our Naturalist Program and library not available on all Galapagos cruise ships.  We have created an informative eco-tourism program that facilitates greater scientific understanding before you’ve even taken your first excursion.  Additionally, we have a Research Record onboard detailing unique events on land or sea as well.

Finally, the Explorer II has a club area complete with computers and game tables.   Additional activities are often coordinated from this area.  You’ll hear next day briefings for land and marine excursions provided by our staff.   Staff also advises information on what to wear on your trip to shore and wildlife you might see on one of the many walking tours or hikes.
