When planning a trip to Tour Galapagos Islands, the most comfortable way to see nature’s ‘zoo without walls’ is onboard the Explorer II.  The natural beauty of marine, land, and airborne wildlife will be further enhanced by the great care Galapagos Explorer provides passengers on their all-suite vessel.

The ship offers five classes of suites:  the Renaissance, De Luxe Balcony Suite, Renaissance Panoramic, Premium Suite, and Classic Suite.  All suites are beautifully accounted to provide maximum comfort for the 100 passengers the Explorer II holds.  Each suite is approximately 25 square feet and rates are based on double occupancy.

All suites provide wireless internet connections, satellite communications, a comfortable double bed, with an additional sofa bed for third party configurations.  Each suite is also equipped with a mini-bar, flat-screen TV and large closets that accommodate plenty of gear.  A marble bathroom and shower with amenities, room service, and a safety lock box also are provided.

The rest of the ship provides the discerning traveler a unique blend of scientific information for excursions to tour the Galapagos Islands.  Each evening our dedicated staff briefs passengers on itineraries for the following day.  Typically, there are two daily tours from which to choose.

The Explorer II has its own library and naturalist program for passengers.  When you tour Galapagos Islands you’ll delight in the resources to learn about some of the species seen on your excursions.  Plus, after spending a day viewing nature’s colorful specimens, you can enjoy exquisite Ecuadorian cuisine at dinner in our dining lounge.

Many travelers also partake a dip in the Jacuzzi pool or star gaze on the upper deck in the evenings.  For travelers who like massages, a number of styles are available: Swedish, Reflexology massage, Crystal massage, or Aromatherapy massage.
