Seasonal Galapagos Cruise Prices
Galapagos Island Cruise Prices Depend On The Season
If you’re thinking of taking a cruise with us, you’ll notice that our Galapagos island cruise prices vary depending on what we call high or low season. High and low seasons follow the natural weather patterns that the islands experience. No matter what time of year you go, you’ll still be able to comfortably enjoy your experience on and around the islands.
The weather on the Galapagos islands is a thing of beauty. There are two distinct weather patterns every year, known as the warm and cold seasons. The “cold” season, known as the “Garua”, happens from June to November. During this season, the water temperature drops to about 72 degrees Fahrenheit, and the islands experience a colder wind that comes in from the south. Rain is frequent during these months, but the sun often shows its face when you least expect it. After November, the water around the islands experiences a five degree Fahrenheit increase, reaching up to 77. The winds, commonplace during the months prior, are non-existent between November and May. Each Island experiences different temperatures and different amounts of precipitation, and varies further depending on elevation.
Most of our cruises are high season cruises. Low season cruises take place between January 8th and January 14th, May 1st to June 15th, and November 24th to December 15th. The rest of our cruises take place during high season. Our Galapagos island cruise prices for low season are, generally speaking, a tad bit lower than the high season prices. As the weather, and resulting experience, are not drastically different during the two seasons, feel free to pick the cruise that fits your budget.
