Galapagos Island Diving Trips

Color, Abundant Sea Life, and Rock

A Diver’s Dream Vacation

Galapagos Island Diving is some of the most rewarding in the world, revealing a nutrient-rich environment that hosts a colorful and abundant sea life.  Divers all over the world flock to this unique archipelago, to vacation in the protected marine wildlife environment.   Teaming with amazing species diversity in pristine waters, the underwater world of the Galapagos Islands is the quintessential trip for beginners and experienced divers alike.

The Explorer II partners with Galapagos Sub-Aqua to provide an exotic dive experience; from sharks and morays, to marine iguanas and sea turtles.  As a 20-year veteran dive provider, Sub-Aqua offers several package selections in optimal locations.  One common dive spot is Academy Bay where low current conditions are common.  On a dream diving vacation, this area reveals sea turtles in Punta Estrada and invertebrates and stingrays in El Bajo Solma, to name just a few marine species frequently seen on your Galapagos Island diving trip.

Because the Galapagos Islands were formed by volcanic action, another very popular dive spot is Daphne Islet where experienced divers can see thrilling underwater caves.  Even beginners will not be disappointed when they swim amongst colorful schools of fish, some of which are endemic to the area.  The dive locations are extremely rich with marine life since it has been protected by the World Heritage marine reserve that has not allowed commercial fishing.

Whether in shallow or deeper waters, divers on a trip to the Galapagos will see hammerheads, dolphins and humpback whales that are particularly plentiful during July, August, and September.  What’s more, after experiencing the waters of the archipelago, divers can relax onboard the Explorer II in comfort and style.  The Galapagos Explorer provides both adventure and luxury, which is the perfect combination for a diving expedition.

The Explorer II is the only all-suite vessel operating in the Galapagos.  As such, we believe in pampering our travelers with excellence in Ecuadoran cuisine, an attentive onboard staff, and by providing pleasant social areas that include a Jacuzzi-Bar, massage room, library, and solarium.

In short, Galapagos Island diving provides the perfect eco-adventure vacation for certified divers of all skill levels.  Divers don’t have to be professionals to experience the marine reserve in and around the Galapagos Islands and swim with the sea lions and play with the green turtles; a truly once in a lifetime dream vacation.
